Today, I talked to the 5th graders at High Point Elementary School about starting a nonprofit. They were very sweet and asked some really good questions! I also got cards that they made for me. Some of the kids even wanted my autograph! I loved their hugs and high fives. They were such sweet kids and I’m glad I got to help them learn about nonprofits. I hope I inspired them to help change the world by doing great things! I want to give a big thank you to Mrs. Cole for giving me such an amazing opportunity! 500!!   We survived participating in one of our biggest events ever! It was such a wonderful opportunity to engage so many great kids in foster care. They concentrated, laughed, absorbed, and screamed in glee with slimey hands! Thank you to Mr. Jack Wood GA Tech Research Institute Scientist, Dr. Nathan Harrison UNG Physics Professor, Dr. Amanda Moffett UNG Physics Professor and my dear friend Netanya for serving with me. ​We had a great time bringing science to the Refugee Youth After School Program (AFP) at Indian Creek Elementary School. We always love their inquisitive minds and caring gestures. Their loud “ooh’s and ah’s” bring big smiles to our faces every year we visit. They loved the marble run! We can’t wait to serve as a family for this group again in the new year! Thank you to our GA Tech Scientist, Mr. Jack. Your liquid nitrogen marshmallows always steal the show!😁♥️

 We were able to engage around 80 children into the field of STEAM during our Science Week for MentorME!!!!  I am especially thankful for the team of 10 youth SSK volunteers that served this week.  Also, thank you to Mrs. Janene for covering our youth that called in sick!  You’re a lifesaver!  Thank you to Mrs. Elisa and Mrs. Silvia for providing this opportunity for us!  Love you both!  I hope to do this every year for you.♥️ Can’t wait to see you in May to do “messy” science activities!!!!

​We loved our time serving with Pebble Tossers earlier this month. We are so thankful for the opportunities, counsel, and great support they always provide. I’m so happy I was also able to make a new amazing friend, too! @thenamegapreteen The kids at My Sisters House Atlanta Mission had a great time learning about aerodynamics, sounds waves, and optical illusion. But, I think the favorite station was the Inertia Towers. Even the moms had a great time trying the towers out! I love when people realize how fun science can be! Pebble Tossers

The Sierra Association of Foster Families event at the Discovery Science Museum was a GREAT SUCCESS in Reno, Nevada!! We were able to share the love of science with 100 people from SAFF! They were even able to network with a couple PhD scientists to organize two more science events teaching the foster kids robotics and chemistry! I want to thank SAFF, Terry Lee Wells Discovery Museum, and Mr. Galata for this wonderful opportunity to share my love for science. This is a picture of one of the families that attended the event. Mr. Galata said they have all been adopted, are all disabled, and this was their very first time to the museum. They were the first to arrive and the last to leave!

Such a wonderful event for the refugee kids today!!! 35 beautiful kids! We always fall in love with each of the kids we serve. We love to hear and witness the stories of the kids engaging and igniting sparks of interest.

One little girl was having a tough day studying English with her tutor and the tutor told Jelly that the little girl was feeling very frustrated. But, she said as soon as the little girl rotated through the science stations her demeanor changed from withdrawn to excited and she wanted to learn more and more. This has been Jelly’s drive since the start of her nonprofit, moments where we can show kids their own amazing power they have within themselves. A big thank you to Refugee Support Services, Catholic Charities, Indian Creek Elementary and our incredible volunteers! This could not have been successful without you! We treasure all of you! ♥️

​I was invited to speak at a luncheon with Mrs. Michelle Nunn as the guest speaker. She is the President and CEO of CARE USA and was the Democratic Party nominee for Georgia's U.S. Senate seat in 2014. She is also the daughter of former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn. I loved her words of inspiration. It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed meeting and networking with so many motivating women. I am very honored to have been a speaker today. Thank you Women Source for all you do and for the opportunities that you provide to empower women and girls!♥️😁
