 I had a great conference call this morning with a publisher willing to donate materials to the kids I serve! I'm so thankful that they were willing to talk with me.
 It was an awesome event tonight! I think the kids had so much fun! We did a science station night for one of the apartment complexes downtown. I loved that the kids kept saying, "This is so much fun!" We served around 30 kids!
 I had so much fun supporting MentorMe this afternoon at Barnes&Noble! I think the kids had a lot of fun making sound sandwiches. Thank you MentorMe! Thank you, Mrs. Jenny! I hope the fundraiser is a GREAT success!!

 I had SO much fun buying snacks for my upcoming science program for foster kids called Summer Science Snacks. My friend, Sydney, helped me with my list. I hope these snacks make the kids I serve smile.❤️
 I want to give a big thank you to Mrs. Cammy for donating these wonderful science kits! We gave them to Bald Ridge Boy's Shelter today. They were so excited! I hope the boys enjoy them!

He is willing to partner with me to provide a science summer trip for the girls from Jesse's House Shelter. I'm crossing my fingers for Treetop Quest to be willing to partner with us, too!! It was a great call and I was excited to tell him that one of his exhibits he had in the museum a while back called Power of Children really inspired me to write my speech, "Kids Can Do Great Things". I really do believe kids CAN do GREAT things!!!❤️
 Today, I was given a huge donation from Sawnee School of Ballet! Their donation was from a beautiful fundraiser they did to benefit my nonprofit. I am so very thankful for all their efforts! I ended the day presenting to foster families at a SAFFT meeting. Some of the donated funds I received today will fund a summer program I will be doing for the foster kids in Forsyth County. Thank you to Sawnee School of Ballet and SAFFT for helping me empower kids!
 I had a great conference call today with Mrs. Kayla, who is the VP of Operations for the nonprofit Paper For Water. I will be partnering with them to bring a workshop to the community. Super Science Kids will be providing science kits exploring water! Build a well, water filtration, and surface tension! These kits will also be given to shelter kids, too. I will try to get them to help make origami ornaments. But, the workshop will focus on creating origami ornaments as a fundraiser for Paper For Water. I hope tons of people join me to help Paper For Water raise money to build wells in India and Africa!! My goal: $25,000!! Just keep swimming! PS I like conference calls because I can wear my jammies. www.paperforwater.org  I had so much fun presenting to the community with Mrs. Tammy this evening! I asked the audience, "After all, every one of us likes to enjoy a clean, safe, flourishing environment, don't we? Shouldn't we all do our part to help it stay that way?" And the audience said, "Yes!"
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is so much fun to work with! Thank you, Mrs. Tammy!  I had so much fun teaching 2nd Graders at RM Moore Elementary today about macroinvertebrates! Thank you UERA for the opportunity! I am sooo excited about our upcoming partnership! We will be teaching at-risk kids together. 💗
 I had so much fun leading math club for the community this semester! Did you know that mathematicians used to have their very own clubs? So, I decided to lead my own math club! Thank you Bedtime Math for your amazing lessons! I loved partnering with you! We had so much fun and I can't wait to do another semester of math fun in the future! The kids were wonderful and I will miss them.
 Today, we taught at MentorMe's afterschool music program. We taught the kids how to make pan flutes and spinning drums, and taught the kids about Newton's third law: " To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". I want to give a big thank you to Ms. Daniela and MentorMe for letting me share my love for science!
 A packed house for the fundraiser! Such an amazing turn out for Sawnee School Of Ballet's performance fundraiser and with so many talented dancers! I am so honored to have been chosen as SSB's beneficiary this year!❤️❤️❤️❤️👯
 So excited about partnering with Pebble Tossers on Friday to bring science fun to the kids at the My Sisters House Shelter in Atlanta!!! I hope all the kids have tons of fun!!😁❤️ Stations will explore Thaumatropes, Sound Sandwiches, Newton's Cradle, Cause&Effect, and Pan Flutes!!!!
 My event has been published in the community magazine! I can't wait to team up with Mrs. Tammy from KFCB to teach the community how they can do their part to help make the environment cleaner!
I ❤️🌎!!!   I spent the morning supporting my friend, Hannah, and promoting Morsbags. Plastic Pollution Awareness Day was declared at the Capitol today!!! When I was 8 years old, I did an experiment of the biodegradability of plastic bags compared to plastic made out of starch and milk. Guess what? The plastic bag never biodegraded, but the starch and milk plastic started breaking down after just two days! Science helps us understand so much! Don't use plastic bags!  I received a nice letter from the boys shelter today. Their kind words help me to keep going. I love providing science for kids!
 This week I had the chance to talk with Mrs. Shannon from Jesse's House Girls Shelter. She told me how girls get to the shelter. She went into details about what DFACS was. They have a really hard job and there are so many parts to it. She told me the house is very structured. I think they have to be structured because if it wasn't, it wouldn't help the kids very much. I think Jesse's House is a wonderful place for the girls that need them. She inspired me to use that information to help the girls have a happier life. I think by giving them science fun it gives them a moment where they can focus on having fun and not on their worries. I think when I'm older I can make a bigger difference someday. I don't know what that is yet, but I know that someday it will come to me and I will be able to help those girls in a BIG way.
 I want to thank ALL the girls at Jesse's House Girls Shelter for making all of these wonderful hands! I LOVE them all!! Can't wait to send these off to Students Rebuild!! Thank you for helping us raise money for kids! ✋🏻🖐🏽❤️

AuthorMy name is Angelica Krubeck and I am 14 years old. I love science. It's one of my favorite things to do. When I was 8, one of my friends opened up to me. She shared how she grew up in a shelter and how hard every day was. After that conversation, I decided I wanted to help kids like her in some way. Science I love and kids I love, so put them together and it just makes sense. I knew that some kids out there don't get the chance to be creative with science, like how I do. I strongly believe that no kid should be without the education and enjoyment of science! Not only does it help them get away from their worries for a little while, but it also provides education to them. I hope to inspire kids to do great things, to succeed in science, and to develop a love for science despite the challenges they are facing in their life. Archives
